{Echo} Week 18- Stripes
"When an American says that he loves his country, he means not only that he loves the New England hills, the prairies glistening in the sun, the wide and rising plains, the great mountains, and the sea. He means that he loves an inner air, an inner light in which freedom lives and in which a man can draw the breath of self-respect." ~Adlai Stevenson
When Susan chose 'stripes' as the new {Echo} theme, I was positively delighted.
Visions of flags, zebras, clothing and signs immediately came to mind. Rows of flowers, candy, sunsets and linens could also fit the bill. It's a word that can bring together the ordinary and the exotic. Seriously, I love, love, l o v e the diversity and originality that this new prompt can bring. I can't wait to see what y'all come up with.
Here is one of the diptychs Susan & I came up with:
Susan & I invite each of you to participate in the project and show us your unique vision, your voice, your echo.
Get out your fancy cameras, your vintage ones, your mobile phone cams or use photoshop to manipulate a digital montage. Whatever suits you best! Just be on the look-out for stripes the next two weeks and show us what treasures your eyes found. I'm sure I will be posting quite a few in addition to these - how fun!
