“If you want a friend, feed any animal” - Jane’s Addiction

Central Park was an amazing location for candid “street” photographs. This particular batch was taken on a trip to NYC in early autumn of 2012. I was mesmerized by the juxtaposition of how many people are seen everywhere - and yet, how many carry on their lives in what appears to be solitude.

When I stumbled across this spark of delight and joy, I instinctively knew that I had to capture it.

In my next post, I will share the story in color and expand upon what captivated me so. Typically I prefer black and white for candid photography as it draws the viewer to the emotion vs. the surroundings, in this case.. I couldn’t choose between the two!

Always,
Chrysti
