Mount Rushmore: Free High-Resolution Desktop Wallpaper
"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try"
- Gail Devers
Those words have been the best kind of reminder of late.
Hung, just to the right of my window in my office/studio, where my eyes can easily gaze is my artist rendering of this powerful quote. Using watercolors + Pam Carriker's Inks to turn the quote into framable art was intentional. I wanted - no needed - to soak them in and let them resonate within me for a bit. I needed to inspire myself, to remind myself to just keep doing the things that seem hard. To try to do the things I put off due to fears - both the big and small kinds. To just give the ideas I have a chance - even the ones I am not sure anything will come from. Simple, yet powerful, and as I mentioned - oh so needed right now.
Instinctively, I knew THIS was the quote to share with you on my newest free wallpaper.
I couldn't think of a better photo companion than that of Mount Rushmore - a majestic memorial that has wooed thousands upon thousands of people over the last 75 years. An idea that could have just easily been cast aside, if nobody dared to try to bring it to life. Within the carved faces, I see strength. I see perseverance. I see an off-the-wall idea that became iconic. Legendary even.

While you are at it, be sure to learn about the making of Mount Rushmore, I knew little to nothing about how it came to be until we had the opportunity to visit the park. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to an interesting backstory - I just can't resist satisfying my curiosity.
Always, Chrysti
Psssst... I can't offer tech support, so you're just gonna have to consult your computer for instructions on changing a wallpaper if you don't already know how. (Trust me, I'd just confuse you more!) It goes without saying that you can delight in this image for personal use only. Please don't alter the image at all and taking money in any way, shape or form for it is a big no-no.
