"Given angel's wings, where might you fly?

In what sweet heaven might you find your love?

Unwilling to be bound, where might you move,

Lost between the wonder and the why?..."

~Nicholas Gordon

I thought flight was an apt choice for our venture back into Echo. It is a fitting subject for my life right now. Once again, I am about to embark on an exciting journey that I haven't taken before. Don't you just love those? They are this crazy mix of exhilaration and terror. And for me, this last year has been filled with them - each has proven to be such a welcome and positive influence in my life. I feel strong. I am strong. With each passing day I begin to have a stronger sense of who I am; age and experience are wonderful like that.

Due to our heavy schedules, Susan & I have switched up Echo a bit. It will be a monthly theme, announced on the 15th of each month. We do hope you will continue to join us. We so enjoy your contributions.

How does 'Flight' translate in photos to you? Susan & I invite each of you to participate in the project and show us your unique vision, your voice, your echo. Get out your fancy cameras, your vintage ones, your mobile phone cams or use Photoshop to manipulate a digital montage. Whatever suits you best!

  • Go visit Susan’s Week 29 post for our other diptych.
  • Our Flickr Group for the collab. ~ Join Us! Find a partner there, read the guidelines and more!
  • Add the Echo button to your blog if you’d like! Get the code here
  • Submit it in the easy to use widget at the end of the post!

"The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious.  And why shouldn't it be? - it is the same the angels breathe." ~Mark Twain

A few side notes...

  • There is still 1 day left to enter the giveaway ... hurry and enter over here!
  • I still have to announce this on the blog, and will soon - but I've been working on a special project for 2011. 2011 paintings in 2011!!!! Crazy, I know. 10% of all sales are going to A Place to Bark and 100% of selected pieces are too. I have them on facebook for another weekish until I move them to etsy & the prices raise. They are ultra affordable and full of whimsy. Grab one while you can and please, spread the word! There is an album of the available ones here and here. If we aren't facebook pals - add me or contact me through this site to purchase one :)

Always, Chrysti
