Creativity Boot Camp - Week 1
“How does one become a butterfly?" she asked. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.”
I love, love, love having an excuse to work outside of my comfort zone. It's all to easy to work yourself into a creative rut and branching outside of your norm is an absolute must have for any kind of creative growth. So, when I discovered that the talented Madeline Bea is hosting Creativity Boot Camp; I decided to join in on the fun. While I don't have the time to do all the journaling right now, I am saving the ideas for the future and really enjoying the daily reads. I think you'll be inspired too, so take a gander over there and check it out.
I am focusing on the prompts. I have specific goals in mind.. like taking photos of subjects I wouldn't normally shoot, manipulating images with new to me techniques.. just an all-around kick in the but for experimentation. Time hasn't afforded me the luxury of that these days, so I decided to use this to make the time.
The other fun benefit? Meeting so many new artsy minded folks.
I love that.
My favorite part of the evening is strolling through the blogs and photos of those participating. One can never have too many creative acquaintances you know.
Have you stepped out of your comfort zone recently?
“Just don't give up on trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong.” -Ella Fitzgerald
Those are just a few of the images I have created with for this challenge, you can check them all out here.
